Thanks John, luckily time is not a factor. I get a kick out of trying this stuff out and don't get that upset on the redos. I enjoy the woodworking experience. I really like your table sander suggestions; I will probably use it in some form. I love Ross's work but I'm not sure I'm up to individually shaping and gluing 42 feet of diamonds in place (but it could come to that). I already have new drawings, picked up the cedar... quality is the only important thing. In all likelihood, this is the only double I will ever make.

: Chip, if you used yellow glue, perhaps you could soak the strip in water
