: Does the book cover lofting?
I'm pretty experienced at lofting, but found the manner that the offsets were set out in Moores' book to be very confusing. Nick's offsets are a lot clearer and his discription of lofting the hull sections is straight forward and easy to understand.

: P.S. I'm purchasing a router this weekend
Generally, I'd say go with about 2hp and a half inch collett unless you doing timber framing. I've got four or five routers. The one I reach for most of the time when boat building is a Porter-Cable trim router.
Good luck.

Forget the router. Buy a good hand plane. *NM*
