Fixing the dyes shouldn't be necessary since they will be well protected by glass and resin. I don't anticipate that they will run either. None of the printer inks or paint I've tried before has had that problem. The dyes probably will need some UV protection, but we all usually get that anyway through varnish, urethane, etc. I ordered some dye the other day, so I will test it in the next few weeks.
