I have worked with procion dyes in textiles, and they do have a great colorfastness. (peices from 10 years ago still have the same color) The only issue is a whole lot of rinsing to get the fixatives (soda ash or baking soda, depending on method) out. Plus steam is necessary to fix the MX dyes. (unless there are new methods that require no steam.) Let me know how your tests go.
