What I said was that you should contact the manufacturer to ensure you are using a finish that they have found to be compatible with their resins

If you have used System Three epoxy I would recommend Captain's varnish. I no longer use System Three's water based finish because I was only successful in brushing it on in high humidity, 70 degree temp conditions. This meant I had to soak my concrete shop floor with water until the windows fogged, my tools rusted and I said forget it!

I used Epifanes on one of my boats and it took a week for it to get to a tack free state.
