I use a Yakima rack on our Camry. The door has a small seal and the door frame has a big fat one. The S-clips from the towers go under the fat seal so they are in direct contact with the metal door frame, which is pretty butch. The doors seal fine and there is not unusual pressure or wear on the seals. The sheet metal on the roof does not appear to deflect at all. Cars are all so different that it's hard to compare mounting systems. I think that the web sites for Thule, Yakima and Saris all have compatibility charts for all the makes and models and that might help. I got our rack from the Rack Warehouse on the web and their prices were better than about anywhere, even with shipping. I know that a lot of people try to save on their racks but I have put too much work into my boats to skimp there. I want to be able to grab the boat and rock the whole car with manly vigor! Keep us posted.

Cheers,
Brent Curtis
