Dave: I used a 3/16" by 5/8th" rub rail out of mahogony and tapered it fore and aft. This hides the merger of deck and hull. I layed it into a bed of epoxy slury and then put in some brass brads. It was easy and seems to work fine. I know that some people put the rub rails on with silcone so that they can replace them as they wear in the future. You may want to do that. Take care, Todd
