: The Kevlar provides some triangulation to keep the frame from racking and
: breaking the rib/stringer bonds. This is not an issue in traditional boats
: because the lashed joints have enough give to accomodate some movement
: until the skin puts a halt to the twisting.

Do the lashed joints really move that much?

: If you were using Platt Monfort's 3/8"sq, untwisted stringers, I would
: use the Kevlar to prevent snapping those bonds. However, it looks like you
: have flat stringers that twist to conform to the hull, providing lots of
: bonding area.

Thanks. Hadn't considered this.

: So, to answer your question, I dunno. It sure is nice of you to go ahead and
: test all this out for the rest of us. Meanwhile, I am already jealous of
: your boat.

It's been a fun project even if it has been more involved than I originally planned on. Besides, I'll be able to try out and use the Return design while I'm building the stripper. Kind of like have your cake and eating it too :)
