Hi Pete

I'm not sure what you had in mind as far as overall application, you've probably already thought of this, but some of the plywood kayak people have done some very striking designs applying veneers. But as an adaptation of that, perhaps a design "strip" 1/8" thick, with the design "veneer" pieces again 1/8" thick bonded to that to make a 1/4" thick strip that would tolerate some sanding. It looks as though the design could be made with a total of 7 strips wide consisting of triangles, trapezoids, diamonds, and squares, perhaps as a feature strip down the CL? Looks like a fun project!
