I am partial to the Intertec. I think it's German, and harder than most to find, but it has some terrific features. One is a huge, square pleated paper filter, mounted horizontally in the top of the machine. There is also a "beater" operated from outside, without taking the top off, that wiggles the fine on the filter so accumulated dust falls to the bottom. Just turn it off, wiggle the handle a couple times, and go back to work. Paper filter bags are also available for tough materials like concrete dust. There is also a 110 VAC plug on the front of the unit that operates the vac on demand when the tool fires up, and that's very convenient. It's also compact, square, and not so topheavy that it falls over when you try to drag it around by the hose. Also, it has about 25' of cord. There is a similar machine made by WAP, also German. In fact, they may be badge-engineered clones, but in any case they are both excellent machines.
