I build in my basement, and it was always a little chilly in the basement during the winter building season. I've installed a natural gass ventless gas heater which has been working great for a couple years now. Of course, I don't use it when I'm working with solvents and varnish. But when I'm laying strips or applying epoxy, it does keep me comfortable. I have a fireplace in the basement, and luckily it already had a gas line installed, so hooking up the ventless heater was simple. You might have to have the gas man install a line for you.

Have fun building this winter,

Ross

: Anyone have any comments on using a kerosene heater in a small unheated
: workshop
: /garage. I'm going to start stripping within the next couple of weeks and was
: a
: little concerned about the effects of a combustable heat source on curing
: epoxy.
: I was also wondering if carpenters glue is affected in any way by cooler
: tempuratures. My workshop is built below my house so it never gets below
: freezing yet it can get quite c-c-c-cold. Thanks.
