: Try Dover books.

: I'm familiar with the American publisher of facsimile editions of older, out
: of copyright, books. they also reproduce older illustations for
: "clip-art" in books that gather images by theme.

: In searching for the American publisher I found a listing for The Dover
: Bookshop, in England, which has the same type of books. I wouldn't be
: surprised if these companies were related, but I can't say for sure if
: they are, or not.

: Whatever. here is a link to one of their books, with dolphins and porpoises.
: They had others with mythical creatures, which might include your
: mermaids.

: You might ask at your local mega bookstore for similar books. They can look
: for Dover publications. This would give you the opportunity to browse
: through them to see if the images are suitable before buying the book.
: Libraries do not tend to have these types of books as the users frequently
: cut out the desired designs, but there may be some libraries that DO have
: these. Check, but don't be too disappointed if you can't find them.

: Amazon.com has some Dover books for little kids, including one with stencils
: of fishes.

: The one I've highlighted is only 90 cents for the book. I suspect the
: shipping in at least twice that!

: here is Dover's book on animals from Amazon.com

:

: If you jsut search Amazon.com for "Dover Clip Art" you will get
: listings of their electronic-based copyright-free artwork which is on
: CD's. since there are no royalties or copyrights involved with these
: materials you can use them on boats you might wish to sell commercially --
: but unless you alter them, you won't be able to copyright them yourself.
: They have been in the public doman for decades, so don't plan on using
: them as a company logo.

: Hope this helps.

Anybody try those holographic stickers for kids? Some of them are really cool.
