This should work, if the veneer is thin and flexible enough to run through your machine. Some of the thin paper backed veneers should be OK. For photocopies which use fused on toner, there is no fading from UV exposure. Many of the printer inks, including black, will fade. Good varnish with UV screening may help, but using archival inks would more permanent.
