I have a friend who is building his first kayak a CLC design,he has no boat building exp.And no wood working exp.And wanted absoulutley no help from anyone until now.He has just finished installing the deck pre-hatch cut out and he noticed that the chine on the port side has a "small" hump in it.

I'am wondering if i can fix this problem for him and how?

I've thought about planing the high spot and reshaping it with thickend epoxy!

Any Help from anyone?
