? I would use silicon as a last resort. If ever you want to refinish the ? surface after applying silicon... read repaint... You have to be sure that ? all of that silicon is gone, and believe me it's not easy. Just sanding it ? will just spread it around and if you leave even a speck of it on your ? wood, it could ruin your finish. Fish eye will show on your paint or ? varnish.

? So if you have another solution... use it. Bigbob

Oh no!! What about Ross's combo silicone/urethane? Or what about straight polyurethane? The assumption is that the silicone is applied on top of the glassed flange, but the boat probably has not been varnished yet. So what can you use to remove sqeezeout remnants after it's been wiped away.(like there's probably some smears)

Hey Ross did you have any probs??
