Steve, What do you use for a bottom layup (especially when you know you will hit rocks)?

My neighbor wants to build a MacKenzie River style drift boat, and I'm helping him decide what to do for a structure/layup. We'll use 9mm Okoume, and probably 2 or 3 layers of 10 oz. glass--enough?
