I see what you are saying Tom, but wouldnt the feather boards keep that from happening just like they do this way? I dont see any difference between this and a thickness planer running the work between the table and the cutterhead.

I was thinking that it would even out the strip width. I am using "recycled" wood and the widths vary a little bit. The only think I really dont like is that router bit hangin in the breeze, with the vac going and the muffs on, the only way to tell if its running is to see it, and that is quite deceptive. Remember the post a few years ago from the medical field with pix of the hand repair?
