The way i mount thse footbraces (perception keepers), is to drill the hole coat the inside with epoxy to let it soak in and seal the wood, then I thicken the epoxy and coat the threads and back of the head with this. Screw it all together and wipe off the excess. when it hardenes, you wont have any leaks or weak spots. AL
