Don't feel too picked on, they're just as bad for the MillCreek .

All I can say is what worked for me. Which was many hours over the course of several weeks spent studying those plans and the instructions. Potty time, dinner time, driving time. Er, not driving time actually, but you get the point. Eventually I came to understand those sheets of paper completely. And came to see and understand all the mistakes. I knew which tab went into which slot, and what all those seemingly irrelivant notations on the drawings were for.

It's also why I started with luan. I anticipated making mistakes, and I did. Eventually it was so bad that I had to scrap it all and start over. With luan very little money was wasted. None in fact if you regard it all as a learning experience. So my second attempt came out quite pleasing to me. Which was also in laun btw.

I too approached Chris about redoing the instructions, and like you was blown off. Things at CLC are very friendly on their terms, but only on their terms. You want a change in tone? Mention you are using luan!

However I would agree with Chris that approaching this project like a journey and not a destination is a wonderfull way to build a boat.
