I prefer footpegs and to have my feet angled slightly forward. I wear soft soled wet shoes and many kayaks can be tight. I cannot wear hard/ lugged soled type wet shoes even in my NDK Explorer. Better in my Yukon because it has a footboard and it allows knees up paddling. Other boats and I like my thighs engaged under the coaming. My inseam is 34" so I am using all space in most production boats.
I have had low volume rolling boats and had my legs straight with feet angled. No thanks. Get the right fit and these 56 year old bones can sit and paddle for many hours straight
So yes...design size at the front bulkhead matters to me. ::))
