I used a 1/4" round file to do it quickly.

I have built both ways (bevel and B+C). I still use b+c on hull, but decks with fancy are done bevel. Gonna try the 5 deg trick from Hamm next time and bevel it all. The canoe is going to b+c. Good setup of b+c makes it easy and I like the lock factor when building stapleless.
