not sure what "deep forefoot" means--how would adding more area above the waterline at the bow be done?

If I am remembering correctly the fault was the tendency to weathercock which prompted the suggestion for the skeg.
And of course I was going to make it retractable--the semi finished boat has been in my garage for more years than I can remember--I have built two SOF's during that time frame--I'd like to finish the kit so I can paddle it.
I was thinking I could had the skeg after I built the boat by putting the whole thing in a place where it could be reached through the rear hatch--Who knows I might never find the need to make the modification. i guess I like to over think things
