Thanks,
I could not have predicted that.

Would you recommend your method over glassing first then Maroske?

The methods under discussion are:
1. Maroske -- drill glassed deck, insert molds and fiberglass tubing then epoxy (do I have this right?)
2. Etienne - insert molds and fiberglass tubing, epoxy in place, then glass deck
3. Will N - Epoxy the tubes on a form, drill (glassed) deck (No order needed) insert (with mold material still inserted (PTFE wrapped mini glue sticks) and glue with thickened filler.

Have you tried using PTFE (teflon) wrapped hot glue sticks? For off kayak forms I use cheap $5 plastic cutting boards, drilled 1" on center, or whatever dimension is needed.
I just made a handful of longer loops to make a paddle holder, using mini glue sticks lengthened by pinning two sticks end to end with piano wire.
Using these materials, I've gone from everything sticking, to popping any form out of any shape.

: With 4 ounce cloth which has a fairly fine weave there was no
: drippage inside the holes at all. I just worked as if they were
: not there.

: I did it this way because, after drilling wider and filling, the
: extra glass covering the epoxy fill adds some waterproofing on
: top of the fill, not just at its edge for the thickness of the
: cloth and fill coats.

: You can see from the picture that there is a good amount of extra
: glassing at thew edges of the hole.
