Since you aren't the only one talking about putting stuff on the front deck, I don't feel like I'm picking on you - but I really don't like having stuff on the deck. I agree with the convenience of deck bags, bungee netting, etc and keeping stuff on the deck, but I rarely even keep a water bottle under the bungies. I've had too many things swept away (even stuff that was well secured), I don't like what happens to water that sweeps over the deck when it hits all that stuff (it sprays up in your face), it gets in the way of some paddle strokes, I generally find stuff on deck annoying. And it always looks something like the Beverly Hillbillies moving to Californy.
