: I sharpen planes on emery paper glued to 3/8" thick plate
: glass with the blades held in various wood jigs to hold them at
: a consistent angle. This is a method I found on the internet and
: works excellent. The plane I use 95% of the time was purchased
: from Harbor Freight for $2.50, one of the best tools for strip
: building ever. My question, this particular plane has a blade
: 1" wide and 1-1/2" long. I have not been able to build
: a jig small enough to hold this blade to sharpen. Is anyone out
: there using a similar sized plane and how do you sharpen it??

I use them all the time for the classes, when they get dull, for 2 bucks I toss them and get a new one.
