It's what Laurence is thinking of doing with a Pax18

I've had a good look at stephens ski and even raced against it. Fast and light. He useed 3mm with tape on the outside chines. i think he used sheer/chine clamps internally though.
He normally races with the Raby Bay paddlers if you wanted to have a look. Let me know and I'll pass on next race date.
