: G'Day All,
: I don't need a super strong layup for the boat that i am finishing off and
: was wondering if I could get away with just taping the seams internally
: for and aft of the cockpit and laying 6Oz cloth in the cockpit area
: without the tape. The outside hull will be sheathed with 4Oz cloth and I
: have fairly generous fillets as I like to round over chines as much as
: possible.
: I'd rather not have to buy anymore boatbuilding materials as I am trying to
: finish my hybrid cirrus with what i have at my disposal, so I'm hoping
: this layup will do the trick.
: Cheers in advance.

My typical layup is just that except with 6 oz on the outside. Be sure to seal the uncoverd wood inside the compartments with epoxy. I put on three coats to fill the grain and then sand most of it off.
