Hi,
If the thinner was used on bare wood, it shouldn't effect the epoxy as long as it's allowed to dry off fully.
In some cases, I've heard that oily timbers like teak need to be rubbed down with a paint thinner to remove the oils inherent in the timber before applying epoxy.

If in doubt, use a hairdryer to warm the timber and flash off any remnant of thinner. The smell will tell if there is any thinner left on/in the wood.
