: Repeat after me. Ducktape is your friend. :)

I take duct tape off the roll, wrap about 2 or 3 feet of the stuff on a small dowel, then put that and a few paper towels in a zip lock bag and stuff into the boat. Once the boat is dry, the duct tape makes a nearly permamant fix.
