Hi John,

Around here it's been really cold lately, tonight's temps in the minus 25 wind chill range. Most all the water is solid and has been for a month or more. Friend told me yesterday that he saw a guy while on the way to work in a tiny rec boat on the open center section of a local river, both shores being all ice, all dressed up in a parka with a hood, paddling along all alone. Probably an early Christmas present, hope he lived to tell the tale.
