Thanks, I've gotten some good ideas from these suggestions.

Regarding safety, I agree 100% that a determined thief will eventually get my boat if he/she really wants it. I just want enough security to keep a "passer by" from being tempted to snatch it off the top of my truck, or prevent a wayward neighborhood kid from grabbing it for a joy ride. Anyone who has spotted it and wants to come back for it with bolt cutters and so forth will get it.
