you are a mine of knowledge :)

Interestingly, Mr Horiuchi's craft has the foil under the centre tri, while I had in mind they would be on the outriggers. As you say, all of the foiling craft seem to work very well but only within a narrow wind/ sea state band, while one of the things I like about a kayak is its abilty to go in a wide range of conditions. Coming up with something that does both, and can carry all of the paraphenalia for saling but still be paddled well, will be a significant challenge.

Each time I see another website or read something, my brain really starts to hurt...
