The deal is I am about to build two boats. I have decided to build one Cormorant for myself. I am thinking about lengthening it some, but thats another story.
The second one will be primarily my nieces boat. I am not worried about her. She is a Girl Scout canoe instructor. Not sure exactly what that means but I know she will adjust to it fairly quickly. But I had hopes of introducing some folks to kayaking and I am just uncertain about the Cormorant for that purpose. Wondering if maybe I should build something with more initial stability for a newbie? Don't want to take someone out the first time and scare them to death. And sounds like the Cormorant would do exactly that.
The Necky I recently paddled was a round bottom and even though I started in a round bottom tortured ply boat, that thing was kind of spooky at first. Not a boat I think I would want to introduce most first timers to kayaking with.
