S&G: Cormorant stabilty?

I spent a lot of time reading all the old posts on the Cormorant and now that I am ready to buy plans I find myself leaning toward this boat again. I like the fact that I can easily scale the boat up for me and scale it down a little for my nieces use.

My only concern is the initial stability. I know I can adjust to it, just concerned about a first timer. Anyone, just wondering if anyone could tell me how it compares to a round bottom boat? If the feeling was similar? I recently got to paddle a ... forgive me, a plastic boat. A Necki Manatou I think it was. Round bottom and it feels very tippy at first. Within a 15 minutes it was fine.
