No, not a typo! I got real lucky, my dad bought a house that had a shop out back that had 10-12 of these boards under it.(I call them slabs!) They are actually 15-18 ft long, I cut one in half to get it home, and because I didn't have anywhere to store a 16' long board. They are stickered and stacked under the shop, out of the weather and have been for there for the last 8-9 yrs or longer. The shop floor is actually 3/4 ply on top of 8/4 mahogany. I guess whoever built it had no clue what he was working with. It is extremely straight grained with no knots. Beautiful wood.. Gonna make a nice kayak!
