I've not tried it, but am always willing to experiment, only real way to learn if things work or not :)

We use it to hold rope gaskets to boilers at work before the ends are closed up after inspection. Even after a year of repeated heating/cooling cycles the glue usually holds firm and this is on rope which isn't easy to glue.
