We have experienced problems with West System where clouding occured. This might have been due to incompatibility with the cloth but it was enough of a problem where we switched resins.

We switched to system 3 and haven't experienced any problems at all with it. The clearcoat resin is nice for wetout because it is low viscosity and soaks in really nice. We fill the weave and all out other epoxy needs with their regular resin and medium hardner. They are based in Seattle.

I haven't tried MAS but I know a lot of people who swear by it.

As for the other inexpensive resins, this isn't something I ever risked saving a buck on. Too much at stake if it fails.
