Footwear Suggestions

I hope this is not off topic, but I do not know where to ask the question.

There seem to be all kinds of different watersport folks on this site. We are building kayaks for next year and, it being the Christmas season and all, we would like some input as to appropriate footwear for kayaking.

Shoes, sandals, brands prices etc, any and all information would be appreciated.
