Right. Also, a well designed balance gives you some warning, like a scale does. My two cup balance only moves when it's within a few drops. A single cup balance should have the pivot placed high enough to start it's swing sooner.

What ever weight method is used, weighing the hardner first, makes it easier to hit the final balance. My description of the one cup balance was set up to always do the resin first. By making the first pin set for hardner, (43 units distance with the second pin at 143 for a 0.43/1.00 epoxy.) that final drop is only half as critical.
