: Al, using two cups arent you still off by the amount of hardner that remains
: in one cup, assuming you dump the hardner cup into the resin? You'd have
: to scrape it totally clean for that kind of accuracy.

What I do is pour first from the resin cup to the hardner, mix, pour back to the resin cup, mix and repeat twice. This is why I was intrigued with the idea of a one cup system.

: FWIW, Ive always used the marked cups, and simply poured to the marks
: carefully. Ive never had a bad mix.

I'm too cheap to buy the marked cups, I guess. Unless you get the expensive cups, the marks aren't always that accurate. I've found they can be off a big percentage for small quantities.

For work bonding with wood, a perfect mix isn't essential to have full strength. I've purposely tested scarf joints with an epoxy mix that was slightly over the manufacture's error limits and found the the joints still failed in the wood rather than in the epoxy bond. But, for batches of epoxy less than 1 1/2 oz, I still prefer using weights for my ratios.
