You could reasonably expect to sell it for $1,000. I wouldn't expect to sell a stitch and glue kayak for more than $2,000, even if your craftsmanship is impeccable, since folks could buy a strip-built boat for that price.

I've never paddled the Cape Charles, so I can't comment on its handling, or a direct comparison/analogy with a specific production kayak.

If someone handed me $6-800, I'd sell my Chesapeake 17 tomorrow.
