The “38 Special” your talking about is a tough boat to build per a friend who just got done building it. He said that he probably would not make it again because of torturing of the strips. He did say that he wished that he made it with 3/16” strips and not ¼” strips (by the way he has built about 5 strippers).

I like the look of the boat, it is based of the Wee Lassie but is more much stable. I have spoke to the designer who loves the boat and would never step into the Wee Lassie as he calls it the “widow maker” as it can be tipsy.
