All choices require tradeoffs--Roy mentioned some of the tradeoffs faced with sea socks and bulkheads. It's a good thing for Rene to be able to have all points of view aired before making a choice. It might make things even more confusing, with many more options to pick from, but it's better to make a choice from too many options, rather than only a few.

Most internet discussions are debates of some sort--if we all agree about everything, then there's no reason to discuss anything. We gain so much by learning from others' points of view.

The important thing is to keep the debate, no matter how heated, civil. We're all just people, and even if we can't agree, I'll respect your point of view, and your right to have a different point of view.
