It's not really a boatbuilding-type tool, unless you're framing a large sloop, but what a great tool.
I like the worm-drive saws, especially for right-handed folks, since you can better watch your cut and see the blade. The weight of the motor is also inline with your arm rather than offset to the right.
If anything does eventually wear out, these saws are repairable, instead of merely replaceable.
