: A relatively thin coat is enough. If you end up with glossy, you applied too
: much. I find it easiest to apply the seal coat with a roller.

I agree with Nick. Just roll on one even coat and tip off any air bubbles with a foam brush.

AND make very, very certain your shop temperature is dropping to avoid "off gassing of the wood" which will create air bubbles. Dropping temperatures will pull resin into the wood cells and give the best surface.

If you try to add more resin to the spots that absorb more resin on the fill coat, you will end up with too much in some spots that will cause drips.

I have a boat where I used a scraper to cut off the drips and now I can always see those drips as whitish areas. I've found if I tried to remove the drips with a scraper or by sanding a pale spot remains on the wood because cutting or sanding uncured resin is like cutting or sanding a GUMMY BEAR candy. Uncured resin doesn't cut cleanly, it SMEARS and will never be totally transparent. I always wait at least a couple days for the resin to harden before I sand or scrape it.

All the best,
