In Response To: S&G deck separation? (Chet Lee)

Hi Chet, as mentioned you use a fillet to connect the two. You might want to run a piece of rough sandpaper back and forth a couple times to rough up the deck, mask the bulkhead back about 3/8", turn the boat over on something that puts the kayak at a comfortable height, for gooping at a distance I like to use a sandwich bag with the end cut off like a pastry dispenser, lay a bead along the gap, run your gloved finger over it, pull tape up, later on as it firms up you can run a gloved finger wetted in alcohol along it to smooth it off if it looks too rough. I think the manual mentions something about filleting the bulkhead to the deck.
