My brother built an Uncle John's Cajun Pirogue in 2 or 3 weekends. Its basically a 6 hour canoe.
Not as fast as a kayak, but decent general all around boat. It went together fast and was cheap to build. the Pirogue is in the background Walrus in the foreground.
