A quickncheap temporary kayak

I had hoped to have completed my Outer Island by this time, when I first started reading this listserve in the Fall'00. However, I spent the winter building a workshop in the garage, wallpapering, winter flu, etc. (have limited time too). I hope to finish my Outer Island(Jay Babina's boat) and a woodstrip Grebe(Grant Goltz/Squeedonk Kayaks)for my 11 year-old by this time next year.

So.....can anyone suggest a real quickncheap temporary kayak to use this summer. I will probably want to build a double (that can be used as a single as well)...or....if real quick, two singles. I suspect a skin boat would be the quickest.

Haven't yet found archives to cover this question....though there must be an archive for every question...

Many thanks!
Bob
