Jim,

You built the boat, and should have a good idea of what it would take to put a hole in the boat.....so, use the boat accordingly...and by all means wear a PFD!

My view is that your safety on the water is much more a function of your good judgement and paddling experience, than any of this technical talk of panel strength...

As for George Roberts, go read his review on Amazon of Nick's book....puts his angry rants into a bit more perspective....

BTW, speaking of George, did you catch the movie Hannibal? (relax George, I'm only half serious)
