How wide was your polyester? Did you apply it on a bias? Platt suggests that doing so will create fewer wrinkles, but it seems like this may waste more fabric. If this was done for the hull, the triangular "waste" pieces could be used for the deck. This would require a sewed seam, say around the cockpit. As you know, Pygmy uses this technique for their fiberglass, but after I got shorted doing so on my Terns, I'm a little gun shy on giving it another try.
Any thoughts?
